This was a pretty stupid test, the fact that a baseball pitcher has to pitch from farther away shows that a baseball is harder to hit, if any pitcher threw a baseball from 43 feet away contact would never be made. So what this basically shows is, once you give the softball pitcher a handicap, she is harder to hit. Also, get a softball hitter for the test, and don't run a test that has absolutely nothing to do with the difficulty in making contact

Look up Adam Folkard on here or Dean Holoien. Both of them can throw the ball in the high 80's. And if you do the math, from 46 ft, that's about 0.5 seconds less reaction time than a 100 mph fastball in baseball. And fastball pitchers can throw that speed all game. Very few guys can throw 100 mph for a whole game. Oh and by the way, there is no such thing as a "fastball" for us. If anyone ever threw a pitch straight and just tried to blow it by everyone, they wouldn't last an inning.

Ok, A: I'm a guy. B: I play fastball. C: The top male fastball pitchers throw high 80's as their top speeds. Averaging mid 80's. Search for ISC pitch speeds and you'll see the stats from last year's World Championships. Look at the reaction times. Fastball players have less time to react and have to react to a ball that goes up or goes down, not just a ball that goes down. In saying that, a good baseball player will be able to adjust to fastball. I've seen it many times

The girls would have the reaction time to hit a baseball but their softball swing is not nearly fast enough to hit a 90 mph fastball once it is in the hitting zone regardless of their reaction time. In other words girls brains and reaction time is just as fast but their muscles aren't as strong or quick when you compare top women athletes to men. This is evident throughout all sports whether.

Fans dont interfere with anything in the field, so the players shouldnt interfere with anything off the field (out of reach). @dodgerman16 I have had much success with Wilson's gloves. They can take some time to break in because they heavily condition their leather to last longer (as does Rawlings) I just ordered my third Wilson and can't wait for it. Hope you find a good glove and good luck in high school ball :D

This was so me when I was 9/10 years old. I am an only child and had countless one man baseball games in my yard. What people saw was just a kid throwing up a ball and hitting it, running around the yard. But was really going on was game 7 of World Series and I was the star. I would also play a game pitching in the World Series against the garage door.
